About Milkshed Kitchen Restaurant at Huntsham Court’s Hotel Pop-Up

For just a few weeks until we return to being an Exclusive Use Hire Property, we have created a very special Huntsham Hotel Pop-Up. Instead of closing our doors, we have partnered with some amazing local chefs and caterers to open every weekend as a Hotel Pop-Up. Each week the menu changes so it truly reflects the guest chef’s style and tastes.  Guests will also be able to book individual rooms at Huntsham Court or just come for Afternoon Tea, Dinner or Sunday Lunch. We are combining luxurious accommodation with scrumptious Devon breakfasts and gastronomic dinners, served in our specially created Restaurant dining room. Plus, you can enjoy our gardens, lounges and bar. What’s more if you have a spot of work to do or want to stream some Netflix or on demand TV we have complimentary super fast 1GB broadband wifi.

Please note: The grounds, property & bar are open to overnight guests and diners with reservations only. Bookings must be made and confirmed online at least 48 hrs prior to arrival. Due to the current Covid rules are unable to accept walk-ins or visitors without reservations.

Should you wish to leave the comfort of your bedroom or suite, our reception rooms have been transformed into spacious lounges where you can enjoy a drink by a roaring open fire with panoramic views across the rolling Devon countryside. Huntsham Court is a perfect country house bolthole in the heart of Devon – a hidden and calm world of its own. Find the space and make the time to unwind in our un-stuffy yet luxury surroundings.

Space & Comfort

We have several lounges each with their own character: The Great Hall with its roaring fire and oak panelling; the light filled Yellow Drawing Room with garden views; the Snug Bar hung with art - so many spaces to relax and chill.

Unique Dining Space

The dining room is the stage for sharing wonderful food with close friends and family. What better stage is there than dining in our opulent candlelit Library or Tapestry hung Diamond Room. Generous tables, comfy chairs and no crowds.

Drinks to Delight

The bar operates a table service to any of ground floor reception and dining rooms. From our boutique selection of gins, vodkas and whiskeys to our special selection or rarely available wines from smaller vineyards across the globe.

We are nestled in the heartland of Devon close to the moors, coasts and some wonderful historic villages. Whilst you are welcome to just chillax and unwind with us, many guests like to do short day trips to explore the surrounding areas or even try their arm at some country pursuits such as clay pigeon shooting, riding or windsurfing.

Rugged Moorland Walks

Within a short drive from the house you can explore Wimbleball Lake and the surrounding moorlands or go up to Exmoor ad explore the heather and gorselands - you may even spot a wild pony or two.

Sea & Surf

We are just 30 mins from both the North coast surf beaches of Putsborough and Saunton Sands or the South coast estuary beaches of Exmouth and Dawlish. Not to mention the lakes inbetween!

Charming Villages With A Buzz

We are surrounded by cute villages hiding a treasure trove of goodies - from antique meccas like Honiton to market towns such as Bampton and Dulverton - any with hidden foodie gems!

A stunning private stately home. The house has a decadent gothic exterior with impeccably decorated interiors.
The house and its decor is amazing – the only thing that could have been better for our three night stay would have been another three nights!
