Finding Excellence Around a Shared Table

We are delighted to announce our collaboration with The F.E.A.S.T. Project as seen in the July 2016 Good Things Section of the Financial Times. Click here to read the full article.
The F.E.A.S.T. Project – a collective of Professional Coaches, Private Chefs, Restaurant Gurus, Local Farms, Fisheries and various other corporate runaways dedicated to the mission of Finding Excellence Around a Shared Table.
The 2 night feast adventure starts at our private 35 bedroom Victorian Gothic mansion, set in the beautiful, rolling Somerset countryside. After a debriefing session over breakfast, up to 30 participants are assigned to teams and whisked off for the day, by private car service, to separate locations around the picturesque Exe Valley. Each team will be accompanied and guided by a dedicated professional coach to ensure that the intentions for the retreat experience are being met at the highest level. The teams’ mission is simple: to either fish, forage, (clay) shoot, butcher, or otherwise source and prepare the food for delivery to the mansion, where our private chef will be waiting to conceive of a multi-course gourmet feast designed around the individual teams’ contributions.
By recreating the long-lost feeling of earning your meal, the F.E.A.S.T project provides an enlightening, character-building, team-strengthening experience. Thrown in at the deep end, participants are taken out of their comfort zone to depend on nature to live as we once did.
The retreat climaxes with the feast itself. The coaches will lead a lively group dinner session to demonstrate how the melding of individual efforts and skill sets can translate into one final result to be shared, celebrated and enjoyed by the whole.
It’s a big table for big conversations.
Each of the day’s activities is led by one of our professional coaches who will be on hand to help motivate, devise and drive team goals. The object of each activity is to bring back the necessary bounty to provide one main dinner course for the greater team back at the mansion.
The activities are designed to test survival skills and uncover the basic hunter/gatherer in all, and this means some may find themselves out of their comfort zones. But rest assured, our professional coaches will be on hand to encourage participants to work as a team for the greater good, stretch their natural abilities, hone instinctual skills and quickly adapt to new environments.
Come rain or shine, everyone has to eat at the end of the day. How well they eat will be determined by the contribution of each participant.
Will yours be a Feast or a Famine?
The day’s activities will culminate in a luxury, gourmet, multi-course feast, prepared and presented by your private chef. Tantalising your senses, feeding your soul and filling your stomachs, the feast will reflect the collective contributions of the participants, providing each and every member of the team with a sense of achievement and togetherness.

I’m a Feeder. My family knows it, my friends know it, and my dog knows it. I’m also an accredited Executive, Confidence and Life Coach and help a range of people – from media personalities and corporate executives to parents and young adults – to accomplish the work and life goals they set for themselves and, in the case of professionals and corporations, to heighten their presence and profile in the business environment. I spent 15 years working as a journalist and presenter in the US, covering world news through to celebrity stories for CNN, CNBC, Showtime Networks and E! Entertainment Television, and won multiple awards. Here in the UK I’ve made many appearances as a Life Coach on GMTV and have appeared as an expert in my field on BBC and Granada television. Aside from coaching young adults through Eyes Wide Opened I also run and host workshops at the Roundhouse and the Media Trust for aspiring young journalists. My clients include: Universal Music, TLC Marketing, KPMG, BBC as well as various high profile personalities. For even more about me go to lynnblades.com
Hailing originally from California but now based in London, I am a former restaurateur who has also worked in the corporate finance side of the restaurant and entertainment businesses in Los Angeles, New York, the UK and everywhere in between for more than 20 years. This means I’ve attended a lot of corporate retreats – most of them unwillingly if I’m truly being honest – and why I felt inspired to conceive of something that was a little offbeat as well as combining several of my great passions: food, personal development, theatre, countryside, and hosting fabulous intimate dinners in gorgeous homes. Those are in fact some of the individual components of The F.E.A.S.T. Project – but like all truly unique experiences in life the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. At least that is what we are aspiring to provide here with The F.E.A.S.T. Project!
Stays at Huntsham Court for the F.E.A.S.T Project are organised by our dedicated Huntsham Court team. Please do contact us to discuss dates, prices and ideas.
