Huntsham Court has worked closely with couples getting married to ensure their event is as true to what they intended whilst being both as covid secure and safe for their guests and so as to comply with the prevailing government rules.

This page is designed to assist guests attending a wedding or event at Huntsham Court to both prepare in advance of their visit and have good ‘covid manners’ during their time here. This way everyone will be comfortable and familiar with the protocols and have an amazing time.

Please note this is guidance only for periods when the rules are more relaxed. The prevailing government guidelines must be followed at all times.

BEFORE YOU ARIVE

TAKE A COVID TEST

Please, please, please for the safety of your family, friends and the wedding couple themselves, ensure all your immediately family and friends of all ages take a covid test before you leave home and before you and your immediate family group arrive at Huntsham Court:

  • have received a negative covid test result
  • have no symptoms of covid and no temperature
  • should not be currently isolating

Whilst we appreciate nobody wants to miss such a special event. The bigger point is that nobody wants to accidentally infect the people they love, especially at their wedding. So please only attend if you know, and have proof, you are covid free.

ENJOY THE OUTSIDE

BE TOGETHER OUTSIDE

Always keep 1 meter apart, but outside you can mingle in larger groups so if the sun is out - enjoy the gardens! Plus outside you don't have to wear a mask too!

FOOD

THE PREFECT MENU

The lead guest has chosen a very special menu and designed it to be served within the rules - so please work with the lead and guest and the food service team

TABLE SERVICE BAR

TABLE SERVICE DRINKS

All drinks must only be table service - so the lead guest has booked staff to ensure you get your drinks served at tables.

WHILST YOU AT HUNTSHAM COURT

MASKS

The rules do change, but many lead guests have vulnerable or elderly guests attending their wedding or event, and so they are likely to maintain tighter rules for their safety. For your and the protection of other guest,  we recommend you should always abide by the prevailing government regulations and even if the rules are more relaxed, still bring a mask (and a spare) to Huntsham Court and to be worn at all times. Subject to the current rules, the only exception to this is:

  • if you are in your room
  • if you are sat at a table eating or drinking
  • if you are outside.
  • if you are legally exempt (in which case we recommend wearing a badge to that affect for everyone’s comfort)

HAND WASHING

Always wash your hands thoroughly and we have hand sanitising stations throughout the building which should be used:

  • every time you pass them
  • every time you enter or exit the building.

SOCIAL DISTANCING & GROUP SIZE

Even when the rules are more relaxed, for the safety of all, lead guests generally are preferring to be cautious for the safety of all their friends and relatives, so we recommend:

  • keeping 1 meter apart everywhere
  • try to socialise outside or in well ventilated spaces
  • avoid hugging and kissing outside of your immediate family unit
  • be aware and respectful that other guests may be more cautious than you especially if they are clinically vulnerable.

Please respect these guidelines, as it is these rules which are allowing weddings to take place in larger groups.
