Amidst all the noise and worries of the world, it is easy to forget what it is like to be with your nearest and dearest. Have a bubble break, with your closest can come together and enjoy the luxurious and spacious surroundings of this amazing country house. More importantly, you can be together with the space and rolling countryside around you. Most of our rooms are suites with private lounge areas, so you can choose to relax in front of the open fire in our Great Hall or gather your bubble together in the privacy of your suite for a good old catch up. We even have some cottages with 2-4 bedrooms you can take over for your bubble.

The huge property with its spacious lounges and dining rooms, is normally only available to the public as a whole house takeover. For just a few months we are delighted to be open as a pop-up hotel. Plus, it is only open to residents and diners. This means you can be safe in the knowledge that this home from home is is a very special and intimate place to come together, away from the hustle and bustle. The property is calm and relaxing to unwind, catch up and make memories together.

Bookings must be made and confirmed online at least 48 hrs prior to arrival. We are unable to accept walk-ins or visitors without reservations.

FAMILY FRIENDLY

Aside of our 2-4 bedroom cottages, we also have numerous 2 bedroom suites to have your own family adjoining room with sofas, giving you ample space to relax together in a privacy. Although we feel quietly hidden away, in fact there are a myriad of things to do nearby if you are feeling active: from walking on the moors, riding, quad biking, or exploring Devon’s wonderful heritage villages.

TIME TOGETHER

Should you wish to leave the comfort of your bedroom or suite, our reception rooms have been transformed into spacious lounges where you can enjoy a drink by a roaring open fire, or indulge in an afternoon tea with panoramic views across the rolling Devon countryside. Huntsham Court is a perfect country house bolthole in the heart of Devon – a hidden and calm world of its own. Find the space and make the time to unwind in our un-stuffy yet luxury surroundings.

We have several lounges each with their own character: The Great Hall with its roaring fire and oak panelling; the light filled Yellow Drawing Room with garden views; the Snug Bar hung with art - so many spaces to relax and chill.

The dining room is the stage for sharing wonderful food with close friends and family. What better stage is there than dining in our opulent candlelit Library or Tapestry hung Diamond Room. Generous tables, comfy chairs and no crowds.

The bar operates a table service to any of ground floor reception and dining rooms. From our boutique selection of gins, vodkas and whiskeys to our special selection or rarely available wines from smaller vineyards across the globe.

FABULOUS FOOD

We are delighted to have some very special guests chefs each weekend. They know time together is precious and they want their food to be that special too, so the fabulous food each weekend varies to reflect the style and taste of our weekend resident chefs, but always ethically sourced from the great South West.

You book room only and then the restaurant team will be in touch to confirm when you would like to dine for breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea or Sunday lunch. Enjoy some time to really catch up whilst enjoying special food and perhaps some wonderful win form our wine lists. Not to mention our cocktails!

Each morning enjoy either a comprehensive breakfast menu including a freshly cooked veggie or meaty Devon breakfast, served to your table with teas, coffee, juices and views across the rolling countryside.

Some days the chefs source the best local and seasonal ingredients to create an extravagant afternoon teas or special tasting menu with a series of mini dinner courses that will amaze you.

EXPLORE DEVON

We are lcoated int eh heart of Devon. In the middle of rolling countryside as far as the eye can see, yet easily accessible and just 12 mins by car or taxi from the M5 and Tiverton Parkway railway station (1hr55 to London). This means whilst you can easily reach us, you can also easily nip to the coasts (both 30mins away north and south) or the moors (just 20mins away) or walk out the door and explore. Whether you day trip as a group or split up for individual adventures, in the afternoon you cna meet back as base, pout your feet up and enjoy your suite and the homely relaxed grandeur of Huntsham Court.

Rugged Moorland walks

Within a short drive from the house you can explore Wimbleball Lake and the surrounding moorlands or go up to Exmoor ad explore the heather and gorselands - you may even spot a wild pony or two.

COAST

Sea & Surf

We are just 30 mins from both the North coast surf beaches of Putsborough and Saunton Sands or the South coast estuary beaches of Exmouth and Dawlish. Not to mention the lakes inbetween!

VILLAGES

Charming villages with a buzz

We are surrounded by cute villages hiding a treasure trove of goodies - from antique meccas like Honiton to market towns such as Bampton and Dulverton - any with hidden foodie gems!

The house and its decor is amazing – the only thing that could have been better for our three night stay would have been another three nights!
