Oh my lord, it\u2019s finally happened, this the moment you’ve been waiting for!
\nYou\u2019re wearing an engagement ring and you’re getting married! You’ve got engaged!<\/p>\n

What to do first? Your mind is already buzzing with ideas, you have lists of people to contact and you\u2019re already planning your Pinterest board<\/a> filled with wedding inspiration. However, there is no need to feel overwhelmed. You have plenty of time to plan the big day and look forward to the rest of your lives together.<\/p>\n

It might seem obvious, but letting your family know you’ve got engaged first is important, you don\u2019t want the sister of your best mate running into your mum in the supermarket only to congratulate her on you two getting engaged! On top of this, the last place they should have to hear about your new couple status is on social media.<\/p>\n

Your left hand will be getting a lot of attention for the next couple of weeks, so think about moisturising your hands regularly (no matter how bling the ring is, it won\u2019t distract from chapped skin and flaky nails) plus you could consider a manicure to really make that new ring dazzle!<\/p>\n
