The Huntsham Court Pop-Up Hotel

In October we announced there was something special going on at Huntsham Court…

While large events were unable to go ahead due to the restrictions in place, we made the decision to open our doors to the public in a very different way and turned Huntsham Court into the Huntsham Court Pop-Up Hotel!

It didn’t take long for the exciting news to spread and we began to welcome guests both old and new!

We have seen previous couples booking a romantic stay to celebrate weddings anniversaries… couples who had postponed their wedding due Covid… previous wedding guests who wanted to enjoy a secondary stay… and we have also seen people who have never had the opportunity to step inside the house before due it being an exclusive use venue.

Relax…

Those that know Huntsham Court will know we are a well-balanced mix of relaxed grandeur, something which is a continual theme within the new Pop-Up Hotel.

We have two beautiful, inviting and considerately spaced lounge rooms located in The Great Hall and the Yellow Room. The seating has been spaced out so you have plenty of room to relax in total comfort, while keeping a safe, socially distanced space between you and your fellow guests.

The Yellow room provides a light, airy, golden glow with views out over the grounds and Devon countryside, while the Great Hall is a cosy haven, with a roaring fire and period features such as the Jacobean panelled walls.

Rest…

Returning guests will already have their favourite bedrooms in the house, but for those who have never stepped inside the house before will be in for a treat! Every bedroom comes with its own unique style and design, like Monica with her hand paint walls and zesty, yellow tones. The Douglas with its opulent canopy, king-sized bed and glorious views over the Devon Countryside… plus its double bath (yes, two baths!) ensuite.

We have even transformed bedrooms into new spaces as well, for example the family suite bedrooms Baron & Baroness. These two bedrooms have now become one luxurious suite with private lounge area and separate four poster bedroom with en-suite. Rooms like this provide couples all the space they need to retreat to the comfort of their own private accommodation, only needing to venture downstairs for refreshments and a bite to eat.

Drinks…

The Huntsham Court bar is renowned for being ‘Bring Your Own’ when running events, however we have definitely enjoyed sourcing tipples and treats locally to stock our very own hotel bar. You will find an extensive and interesting wine list with red, white and rose wines not readily available on the market, plus a good range of spirits such as Salcombe Gin and Black Cow Vodka, keeping our selection as close to the South West as possible.

All drinks are table service due to the current Covid guidance, so no need to get up from your snug sofa in front of the fire, our friendly team will be on hand to take your order.

Dine…

We have been lucky enough to team up with one of our regular and renowned suppliers, Milkshed Catering. We usually see Milkshed and the team looking after many of our wedding and event guests throughout the year, so it has been lovely having them back with us as at The Huntsham Court Pop-Up Hotel where they have been taking care of all food aspects, from breakfast to tasting menus!

After many requests, we made the decision to open up the dining rooms to non-resident guests as well. This has been incredibly well received, especially by those in the local area who have always been keen to experience the house for themselves but have not had the wedding invite excuse as yet!
