Tiverton Dramatic Society
Tiverton Dramatic Society are a friendly society comprising of more than thirty fun-loving members, all with an interest in theatre, be it on stage or in a valuable backstage role.
They present two main productions per year, one in the spring and one in the autumn, showing to the public usually for four nights. These major productions are performed at the New Hall in Tiverton, Devon. In between these we also produce one-act plays and murder mysteries which often tour to different venues.
We will always welcome new members, young or old, who wish to participate in our productions, either on or off stage. We meet on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm at the Pannier Market in Tiverton.
We aim to improve the quality of life for older people and their carers in the Mid Devon area. We seek to ensure that they maintain their self-respect and independence and enjoy freedom of choice and equal opportunities. We work locally with older people and provide information, education and services. We aim to raise awareness of older people’s issues and influence policy at local level and, through Age UK, at regional and national levels.

About AgeUK – Nationally
Age UK is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. The over-60s is the fastest-growing group in society and there are more of us than ever before. Ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging. At Age UK we provide services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people. We stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.
A world where everyone can love later life.
Our vision is ambitious. It won’t be easy to get there, and it won’t be a quick journey, but we believe it’s how things should be for older people and we work every day to achieve this.
The Age UK network comprises around 170 local Age UKs reaching most of England.
